Questions and messages
When you use Ask Ryan or Get in touch, your message, name and email come to me by email. I use your email only to reply to you. It is never added to a mailing list or shared.
Questions are published only if you tick “You may publish my question”, and only after I have approved the exact wording, answer and attribution. Your name is shown only if you also tick “You may show my first name” — otherwise you appear as “Anonymous reader”. I remove identifying details from published questions.
Because questions can reveal political opinions, I treat them with extra care. Unpublished questions are deleted within 12 months.
Corrections and removal
If you’d like a published question changed or removed, or want your message deleted, email ryan@ryanwain.com and I’ll act on it promptly.
Visitor analytics
This site uses Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that doesn’t use cookies or collect personal data. It counts visits and anonymous events such as “subscribed” or “played a clip”.
Embedded media
Video and audio players (such as YouTube or Spotify) load only when you press play. Until then, no data is sent to those services.
Newsletter
Subscribing passes your email to Substack, which runs the Resurgent Britain newsletter under its own privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time.
